Meet Gerry Jackson
Gerry Jackson, Jr. is a Property Manager for Berkshire Residential Investments in Washington, D.C. He is a proud alumnus of Elizabeth City State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. In 2008, Gerry was hired as a part-time leasing consultant for a student housing property in Greenville, NC. Gerry quickly developed a passion for the industry and had a fervent desire to grow and develop as a leader within the industry. Throughout his tenure, Gerry has worked with reputable multifamily leaders such as Colonial Properties Trust, Bell Partners Inc. and Greystar. He has a vast amount of experience in overseeing a variety of successful lease ups and stabilized assets (garden-style & mixed-use mid-rise/high-rise developments) in NC and the DC metro area. In 2014, Gerry received his Master’s in Business Administration with a specialization in Leadership from Walden University and followed up with his Certified Apartment Manager certification in 2015.
Gerry has been recognized by his employers for various achievements such as the Million Dollar Sales Club, Regional Director’s Rising Above Success award, Be Berkshire award and the Consistency of Operations award. Most recently, he was recognized by his alma mater for his professional and community achievements and awarded the honor of being inducted into their 40 under 40 society. Gerry is actively involved with local apartment association committees. He is a part of the Emerging Leaders Council with AOBA and currently serves on the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Committee and Managers Advisory Panel with Berkshire.
